“Golden Knights begin crucial road trip with game against Jets”

The Vegas Golden Knights begin a crucial road trip, a tough battle against the Winnipeg Jets.

The Golden Knights are getting healthy at the right time. Mark Stone returned on December 6th and looked like he hadn’t missed anything, and now Zach Whitecloud is expected to return to the lineup after suffering an upper-body injury on November 23rd.

The Jets are feeling good before today’s game. They defeated the Boston Bruins 8-1 and their top team of Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor and Gabriel Vilardi combined for four goals and eight points. Today’s game will feature two of the best lines in the NHL.

Jack Eichel, Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone will once again be tasked with outscoring their opponents’ top line. The Jets and Golden Knights are both in the top 10 in goals scored per game and top 10 in power play percentage, and their top lines are the main reason why.

Connor Hellebuyck and Adin Hill will be in goal for their respective teams tonight. On November 29th, when the two clubs met for the first time, it was Eric Comrie who was in goal for the Jets. Barbashev and Brett Howden each scored two goals against Comrie en route to a 4-3 win.
