Things move fast in the NBA.

Less than 24 hours after a record 155-point performance against the Toronto Raptors, the Memphis Grizzlies are back in action on Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

This match is the first of five games on a road trip to the West Coast.

The Pelicans (5-26) have the worst record in the Western Conference. Injuries to All-Stars Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson have limited the team after a season filled with high expectations. ‘

Things are going the other way for Memphis (21-10). The Grizzlies have been one of the best teams in the NBA as they have a strong team that has the highest scoring bench in the league.

This depth will be tested again on Friday. Santi Aldama, who left Thursday’s game in the first quarter, is out against New Orleans. He was one of the NBA’s best reserve players and a candidate for Sixth Man of the Year.

Marcus Smart is also out due to an injury to his right index finger. Grizzlies center Jay Huff is questionable due to an ankle injury. His possible return could improve the depth of the frontcourt without Aldama.

This is the second meeting between the Grizzlies and Pelicans this season. Memphis won the first meeting in November 120-109.
