A Cessna aircraft crashed on a training flight and the incident was caught on camera.

The Kamaka Air Cessna 208 Caravan had just taken off from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, USA Today reported.

The plane was carrying two passengers, both of whom died, and was en route to Lanai Airport, about 69 miles away.

It crashed into a state building that was vacant and on the demolition list, Hawaii News Now reported.

The damage was limited to the outside of the building, Star Advisor reported. Smoke could be seen rising from the building.

The crash occurred near the airport’s fuel farm, but the pilot avoided it and several other buildings, NBC News reported.

The pilot told the control tower that they were out of control shortly before the crash and was told to land if they could.

Tower: “Kamaka Flight 689, you’re turning right, right?”

Pilot: “Kamaka 689, we are, we have, uh, we are out of control here.

Tower: Okay, Kamaka 689, if you can land, if you can balance it, that’s fine. Any runway, any place you can work.”

People driving near the crash site captured the accident on their dashcams. For some, the video may be disturbing.

A person working nearby said they saw the plane fly past their window.

“I was sitting at my desk and suddenly saw a small plane flying past my seventh floor office window. And I said, ‘Oh, he’s really, really low,’ and he started turning and heading back toward the airport, and then I heard a loud bang,” Nancy Timko told Hawaii News Now.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating, Star Advisor reported.
