Here are the snow depths for North Carolina’s Piedmont counties, Mountains

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Charlotte may not have gotten much snow early Tuesday morning, but other parts of North Carolina certainly got their fair share.

The highest snowfall in Western North Carolina was reported on Tuesday, December 3, in Faust, an unincorporated community in Madison County. About 10.5 inches of snow fell in this mountain community, according to the National Weather Service.

Closer to the Charlotte area, much of Mecklenburg County recorded only trace amounts of snow. At least a tenth of an inch is required to be considered measurable snow, so the area is still within the snow drought.

Charlotte itself hasn’t seen measurable snow in more than two years – 1,039 days to be exact.
