The 55-minute show was recorded in May of this year at Toronto’s Elgin and Winter Garden Theater Center during Glazer’s 48-city tour of the United States and Canada. This is her second stand-up special following “Ilana Glazer: The Planet Is Burning,” which debuted on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 and in which she shares her “thoughts about homophobes and Nazis, how shitty women’s razors are, and what a joke that is.” patriarchy that is being discussed.”

Meanwhile, in “Human Magic,” Glazer humorously rants about everything from her painfully awkward high school years to dealing with parenthood as a “stoner mom.”

Glazer is best known for Broad City, the Comedy Central series which she co-created, produced and starred in alongside Abbi Jacobson. After debuting as a web series, “Broad City” ran for five seasons on Comedy Central. In film, Glazer co-wrote and starred in Pamela Adlon’s comedy “Babes” (2024) and John Lee’s horror film “False Positive” (2021). They also played roles in the 2017 film Rough Night from executive producers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, the first season of The Afterparty on Apple TV+, and both seasons of the Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham “.

The new release comes under Hulu’s new brand “Laughing Now,” for which the streamer will release 12 new comedy specials per year or one per month. The announcement came as part of Disney’s upfront presentation earlier this year, kicking off with Jim Gaffigan’s exclusive Hulu special The Skinny.
