How to Earn Units in Marvel Rivals

Units are the Free-to-play currency In Marvel Rivals – Sort of. There are two main currencies to worry about: units and grids. (There are also Chrono Tokens, but these are for your Battle Pass and aren’t really relevant for our purposes here.)

grid is a currency that you can buy with real money, but Units act as the actual currency you need to purchase new costumes and packs in the shop.

The conversion rate for Lattice to units is 1:1, meaning every 100 Lattice ($1) will net you 100 units.

What can you use your units for in Marvel Rivals?

Units are your store’s currency. They are used to purchase every new costume and item you acquire, with the exception of Battle Passes, events, or codes.

These costumes come in bunchThese usually include the costume itself, a special MVP cutscene, an emote, a nametag, and a spray. That’s a lot of bang for your buck, but squeezes most packages into a squeeze $20 range – some MCU-inspired costume packs cost $35 – if you purchase them exclusively with units through Lattice.

If you’re looking for a specific package but can’t pay full price, your best bet is to save a few hundred units here or there from the Battle Pass and other sources. Then wait for a sale – like the one from NetEase Games at launch – and supplement what you’re missing with Lattice. Luckily, NetEase lets you buy Lattice by the dollar, so you always get exactly the amount you need.
