How to watch the 2025 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are known to bring together the top stars of television and film under one roof for a night of awards, unforgettable fashion and all the glitz and glamor fans have come to expect from a star-studded ceremony.

And the 2025 Golden Globes, taking place on Sunday, January 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, is no exception.

As Hollywood looks back at the most dramatic, bizarre, and talked-about TV shows and movies of 2024, several actors and projects stand out. Both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are nominated Evilwhich also received the “Best Film – Musical or Comedy” award. Selena Gomez is nominated for two different acting awards – a supporting actress award for her role in Emilia Perez (which received 10 nominations this year) and a lead actress nomination for Just murders in the building.

Other big movies to watch out for include: A complete unknown (the Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothee Chamalet), The substance (with Demi Moore), conclave (starring Ralph Fiennes) and “The Brutalist” (starring Adrian Brody) – all received multiple nominations, including awards for acting and best picture.

Notably, the Golden Globes are often cited as the best predictor of Oscar winners – meaning that winners of Globes films that year are also known to become Oscar winners in the same awards season.

TV lovers will also be happy to see some of their Globe-popular favorites (like Abbott Elementary School, Just murders in the building, The bear And Hacks) received several nominations. New series including Mr and Mrs Smith And Shogunhave also garnered several nominations.

Fans can watch the 2025 Golden Globes live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 5, starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.
