A WWE Hall of Famer doesn’t love Hulk Hogan.

Jesse Ventura is scheduled to return to WWE television on December 14th at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Hall of Famer was a staple on the show when he first appeared in the 1980s and early ’90s, and news of his comeback was popular with longtime fans.

Following the announcement, Ventura appeared on the Bill Simmons Podcast to talk about his return and his successful wrestling career.

During the conversation, the veteran recalled being “kicked out” of WWE in 1990 after trying to form a union years earlier and described himself as “uncontrollable.”

After a hiatus, Ventura made his way to WCW in 1992, but abruptly left two years later, reportedly due to the arrival of Hulk Hogan.

While speaking to Simmons, Ventura claimed that Hogan got him fired and ultimately stole his look when he turned heel as part of the nWo.

“Eric Bischoff then got the head job at WCW, and then he went behind my back and got Hogan,” Ventura revealed.

“He (Hogan) came in and got me fired on the spot because he adopted my look. He put on the sunglasses, he put on the rag and became the villain. He couldn’t let Jesse Ventura be there and become Jesse Ventura, so he had me fired and basically my wrestling career was over.”

Hulk Hogan Completes WWE Return?

While it was announced that Ventura would appear in Saturday night’s main event, there were also reports that Hulk Hogan could make a special appearance on the show.

According to the report, WWE is working hard to address the history of the TV special, and that includes paying homage to the first event held under the Saturday Night’s Main Event banner in 1985. At the taping, Hogan defeated Cowboy Bob Orton to retain the world championship.

Similarly, Jimmy Hart has been linked to an appearance on December 14th, sparking speculation that his long-time partner Hogan will also be there.
