Hyatt and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas plan a loyalty partnership

World of Hyatt fans will soon have an important new way to earn and burn points in Sin City.

Hyatt and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas enter into a long-term licensing agreement that brings The Venetian and The Palazzo to Hyatt’s booking channels and the World of Hyatt loyalty program.

Finally, World of Hyatt members can earn and redeem points at both hotels, earn Brand Explorer Award credits, and enjoy on-site benefits for World of Hyatt Elite members. The partnership also means Venetian Rewards members will enjoy World of Hyatt benefits in the future, although loyalty details are not yet public. A specific timeline for the integration was also not given.

The move marks a return to the Las Vegas Strip for Hyatt after the company and MGM Resorts ended their loyalty partnership last year due to MGM’s new relationship with Marriott. Hyatt’s largest Las Vegas presence since then has been at the off-Strip Rio Hotel & Casino, part of the Destination by Hyatt brand.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has a partnership with The Venetian, but that is expected to end at the end of this year. TPG speculated earlier this year that the IHG-Venetian split represented an opportunity for Hyatt to return to the Las Vegas Strip in a big way.

“Las Vegas is a perennial favorite for World of Hyatt members, and our group business customers are requesting rooms more frequently than before the pandemic due to the world-class entertainment and unique experiences this dynamic destination offers,” said Mark Vondrasek, Hyatt Commercial Officer. said in a statement: “Licensing agreement with The Venetian Resort Las Vegas adds 7,000 rooms and 2.25 million square feet of meeting space and invites Hyatt loyalty members.” Valued customers have a visit in Las Vegas there are even more ways to collect and redeem loyalty points.

The Venetian recently completed a $1.5 billion renovation of its suites designed to reflect the Venetian Carnival. The combined Venetian-Palazzo complex is the only all-suite resort on the Strip and is a hugely popular destination thanks to its shopping and dining around a replica of Venice’s canals—complete with gondola rides. The complex is also home to the Sphere at The Venetian, the country’s new and hottest concert venue.

“Our iconic resort continues to be a leader on the Strip, setting the standard for innovation, luxury and unforgettable guest experiences,” Patrick Nichols, president and CEO of Venetian Resort Las Vegas, said in a statement. “From unveiling newly designed suites to collaborating with world-renowned chefs to providing unparalleled entertainment, we have remained at the forefront of this ever-evolving destination. As we usher in a new era for The Venetian Resort, this relationship allows us to expand our reach and connect with new audiences.”
