“I didn’t want to go out” … Nate Landwehr breaks his silence after UFC 310 loss to Doo Ho Choi

Nate Landwehr made a video statement on social media following his loss at UFC 310.

The fan-favorite featherweight was expected to face Doo Ho Choi in the fight of the year in the opening fight of the final pay-per-view show of 2024, which took place on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas .

However, “The Korean Superboy” was able to dominate the fight from the first bell before eventually forcing a TKO finish by pinning his opponent in the crucifix position midway through the final frame.

Nate Landwehr has now spoken publicly about his UFC 310 loss and the referee’s decision to intervene.

Nate Landwehr remains optimistic despite UFC 310 loss

Nate Landwehr quickly gave fans an update on social media after coming up short at UFC 310.

“The Train” was covered in bruises as he reflected on the 24th fight of his exciting MMA career.

“Yo! It is what it is, man. I knew I had lost two laps,” said Landwehr.

“I came out and slapped his ass. That’s all I can do. I got into a crazy situation. It wasn’t a bad break. I mean, I probably didn’t want to go out, but the referee saved me. I would just be stuck there. I tried my best to get out. I tried my best to give the fans an exciting fight. I’ll be back.

“Of course I’m disappointed and a bit lumped together. It was definitely a fistfight. Otherwise there is nothing to say. S***!”

Landwehr captioned the video with the words: “Obviously disappointed, but not broken. Call all my people who feel my pain. I’ll recover and see what’s next. I tried my best to give you all a show. I still hold my head high”

Nate Landwehr had to deal with a family tragedy ahead of UFC 310

Landwehr recently revealed that his UFC 310 camp was affected by a family tragedy.

The 36-year-old and his wife are currently trying to have a child. They are going through the IVF process and recently suffered a miscarriage after becoming pregnant.

“It’s like a fight, man,” Landwehr told Middle Easy. “You just have to keep fighting.

“We had to undergo artificial insemination, so they have to go in and remove my wife’s eggs and fertilize her.

“We ended up with X amount of viable embryos. We had five boy embryos and one girl embryo.

“We tried to accommodate the girl some time ago. She hooked up, but she just didn’t quite make it. Her name should be June Marie.”
