I ordered a Christmas present from Temu – what I got was shocking

A woman was shocked when she ordered her partner a Christmas stocking – to receive one so small it looked like a baby shoe.

Leah Hartley, 20, spotted a festive stocking on Temu and bought it as a surprise for her partner Matthew Shanahan, 21.

But when it arrived two weeks later, the stocking was comically small – not a single gift could fit in it.

Leah said the stocking was advertised at full size.

The young couple from Cardiff, Wales, admitted they were “disappointed” that the tiny stocking didn’t do its job.

But they embraced the humor of the situation – by instead hanging it from a branch of their tree as if it were a ball.

Leah said: “When it came I was expecting a big package but it was tiny.

“To be honest, I was a bit devastated! You couldn’t fit anything in there – it definitely shocked me.

“It’s our first Christmas together and I wanted to make it special, so I feel a little disappointed.”

She added: “But I see the funny thing in how small it is.

“I’ve hung it on the Christmas tree now because it’s like a little ball.”

A spokesman from Temu said: “We are sorry to hear that Ms Hartley is unhappy with her purchase.

“At Temu we stand by our satisfaction guarantee and offer refunds for items that are damaged, not as described or do not arrive.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to find a refund request under the order number provided.

“If Ms. Hartley contacts our customer service team, we will be happy to assist her.”
