Illinois American Water announces the winners of the 2024 Water Keeps Life Flowing Art Competition

Elementary school students raise environmental awareness through creativity

BELLEVILLE, Ill., December 18, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Illinois American Water recently invited 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to showcase their creativity by submitting artwork for the company’s Water Keeps Life Flowing art contest. Hundreds of submissions were received expressing the importance of a quality water supply. Illinois American Water selected 10 winners who gave their classrooms a $100 donation for school supplies or a class party.

“From paintings of water towers to drawings of personal hygiene practices, we are completely inspired by the creative ways students used their love of art and understanding of science to demonstrate the importance of a clean, safe and reliable water supply,” said Rebecca Losli, president of Illinois American Water.

The winning artwork will be featured on the company’s Facebook page: @ilamwater. It will also be featured in future customer communications from Illinois American Water.

Losli added, “Illinois American Water plays a critical role in customers’ daily lives by providing water services that support vital activities and jobs. We encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the role water plays in your own life, including your career. Hobbies and other activities.
