But according to many reports, the acclaimed sci-fi drama film will miss its IMAX re-release in India as Pushpa 2 has conquered all IMAX screens in the coming weeks. This update was not well received by a section of users on social media, who took to X to comment on how this decision reflects the tastes of the audience. Angry Nolan fans react

Reacting to the news that Interstellar won’t be released in India due to the hype surrounding Pushpa 2, an angry user commented: “What a disgrace of IMAX.” A second user said: “Stupid move. It’s not like Pushpa 2 was shot with IMAX cameras.” One comment said, “This has to stop. Filmmakers themselves destroy the cinema experience. Pushpa, which only serves as an IMAX experience, is not shot in IMAX, but only to blackmail the audience. It is sad to see that Interstellar will not be re-released in India.”

A Nolan fan shared a screenshot of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s song ‘Peelings’ from Pushpa with the caption: “They couldn’t re-release Interstellar on IMAX in India because people wanted to see that on IMAX (laughing face emoticon). “Brain rot,” said another fan.

Another fan disagreed and commented, “17 log ko bhaari intellectual feelings karwaane ke liye apna loss thodi karenge theaters (Theaters will suffer a loss not only for the 17 intellectuals who would see Interstellar).” Another comment read: “A financially very logical step from Imax.”

“Pushpa 2: The Rule” is aiming for a gigantic box office opening after already earning revenue ₹125 crore bookable in advance. Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit theaters on December 5 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
