Grande returned as host SNL For the second time in this episode. The pop singer and Evil Star made her hosting debut on March 12, 2016, when she took on the dual role of the episode’s musical guest. Most recently, she was a musical guest on Josh Brolin’s Season 49 episode.

Grande’s knack for spot-on celebrity impressions was showcased in the “Maybelline” sketch, in which she portrayed Jennifer Coolidge alongside Chloe Fineman, and in her parody “Celine Dion Sports Promo.”

The episode also featured Marcello Hernández’s now-viral character Domingo in the hilariously embarrassing sketch “Bridesmaid Speech,” which features a bachelor party cheating scandal and alternate lyrics to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.”

As for Nicks, just over four decades after her last appearance SNL In 1983 she returned as the episode’s musical guest. The Grammy-winning artist performed her 1981 classic “Edge of Seventeen” and her 2024 song “The Lighthouse.” She also sang part of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” in a promo with Grande and Bowen Yang.

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson will also co-direct a new NBC music documentary. Ladies and gentlemen… 50 years of SNL music. The film features interviews with dozens of musicians who have appeared on the show, as well as current and former ones SNL Writers, cast and crew.

Ladies and gentlemen… 50 years of SNL musica three-hour event, premieres Monday, January 27th at 8pm ET/PT on NBC and will be available to stream the next day on Peacock

The celebrations continue a few weeks later SNL’s 50th anniversary special offer. The three-hour live primetime broadcast will air Sunday, February 16, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
