JACKS WRAPS 2024 HOME SLATE WITH DAKOTA STATE

South Dakota State hosts NAIA Dakota State on Tuesday night in the Jackrabbits’ final three-game homestand. It will be SDSU’s final home game of 2024.

The Jackrabbits are 9-2 this season with six straight wins. The Jackrabbits most recently earned a mid-major win against Northern Iowa on Saturday afternoon by 18 points Brooklyn Meyer.

Dakota State sits at 8-3 overall and 2-0 in the GPAC heading into Tuesday night’s contest, which will be a challenge for the Trojans. Like the Jacks, the Trojans have won six straight games. DSU is ranked sixth in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll and is 3-3 against ranked opponents.

• SDSU is shooting nearly 37 percent from the 3-point line this year, ranking 27th nationally. Mesa Byom And Haleigh Timmer Both are better than 45 percent from deep this year.
• Haleigh Timmer is adding 13.5 points per contest and set a new career-high of 26 points last week.
• Paige Meyer does a little bit of everything, contributing 9.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game to go along with a team-high 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals.
• Dakota State has four players averaging at least 10.0 points per game, led by Tabor Teel with 13.0 PPG. Teel is also the Trojans’ leader in rebounding with 8.6 boards per night.
• Following Tuesday’s contest, SDSU will close out 2024 at No. 6 Texas on Sunday afternoon in Austin. The Longhorns will be tied with the Jacks as the fourth-ranked opponent of the year.
