Jaishankar discusses India-US relations with Blinken and Sullivan | India News

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and NSA Jake Sullivan and discussed the progress of the US-India partnership in the last four years.

“Pleasant to meet @SecBlinken yesterday (Thursday) evening in Washington DC. Reviewing the progress of the U.S.-India partnership over the past four years. We agree that our collaboration has strengthened in many areas, just as our comfort level has increased accordingly,” Jaishankar wrote in a post on X.

Jaishankar said, “India-US relations will serve both our mutual interests and global well-being.”

He also met National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan at the White House.

“A comprehensive discussion on the progress of the India-US strategic partnership. We also exchanged views on current regional and global developments,” Jaishankar said.

He also met India’s Consuls General in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston and Atlanta.

“A productive day with the @IndianEmbassyUS team and our Consuls General in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston and Atlanta. Ways to deepen the U.S.-India partnership were discussed, with a focus on technology, trade and investment. We also shared views on how we can better serve the Indian community in the US,” the minister said.

Jaishankar is on an official visit from December 24 to 29 where he will meet senior members of the outgoing Biden administration. He is also likely to meet with senior leaders of the new Trump administration.
