West Des Moines police have identified the person who died in a crash on Interstate 35 early Monday. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on northbound I-35 at Mills Civic Parkway (Exit 70). Police said Wednesday that 45-year-old Jamie Alertsen of Pleasantville was killed. Two other people were injured in the accident, but police believe the injuries are not life-threatening.
