Brown did not confirm that her posts were about Jay-Z, 55, who was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean “Diddy” Combs at an afterparty after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 .

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has denied the allegations.

Brown, whose real name is Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand, collaborated frequently with Jay-Z, including on their 1996 hit “I’ll Be.” She was signed to Def Jam Recordings while Jay-Z was president of the record label.

In October, Brown publicly criticized the “fake news” that she had a sexual relationship with Jay-Z when she was a minor and that he made her sign a nondisclosure agreement.

“NDA? There is no MF alive who can stop my story. “Non-disclosure agreement on my shit will be 100 million,” she wrote on Instagram, according to Billboard.

“Stop messing around with my name over a comment! I can’t turn to this moron shit to bring Hov down. I wonder about the stuff I’m made of… You want me to be against Hov so badly,” Brown added.

On Sunday, Jay-Z was named as a defendant in a lawsuit originally filed in October against Combs, 55 – who faces federal charges of conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

In the amended complaint filed Dec. 8 in New York, the woman – identified only as Jane Doe – alleged that she was approached by Combs’ alleged limo driver, who invited her to an afterparty while she was trying to to enter the 2000 VMAs in New York City. When she arrived at the after-party apartment, she claimed she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

At some point during the after-party, Jane Doe said she was allegedly drugged after being served a drink and “held down by Carter as he raped her vaginally while Combs and Celebrity B watched.” After Carter was finished , he stepped back to the wall. Combs then stepped forward and vaginally raped plaintiff while Carter and Celebrity B watched.”

Jay-Z denied the “vile” allegations against him in a statement. He called the lawsuit an “extortion attempt,” promised to fight the lawsuit and demanded that Jane Doe reveal her identity.

The 24-time Grammy Award winner also said he is heartbroken that his wife Beyoncé, 43, and their three children – Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7 – are having to deal with this situation.

“My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is at the age when their friends will certainly see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain people’s cruelty and greed,” he said.

“I mourn another loss of my innocence. Children shouldn’t have to endure something like this at a young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable levels of evil that aim to destroy families and the human spirit,” the father of three added.

Jay-Z ignored the rape allegations as he attended the premiere of “Mufasa: The Lion King” in Hollywood, California on Monday night. He posed on the red carpet with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, who both appear in the film, and his mother-in-law Tina Knowles.

Combs, meanwhile, remains behind bars at a Brooklyn detention center after being arrested in September and charged with sex trafficking, extortion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and will go on trial in May 2025.
