Jaylen Brown’s mother’s home was reportedly broken into during a Celtics road trip

According to multiple reports, Jaylen Brown’s mother’s Wellesley home was broken into on Wednesday evening earlier this week.

Steve Burton of WBZ-TV was the one He was the first to report the break-inwhich occurred as Brown’s Boston Celtics traveled to an away game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Brown reportedly missed Tuesday’s practice to be with his mother.

“The safety of the Celtics players, families and staff is of the utmost importance to us,” the Celtics said in a statement to the Herald. “We are aware of the incident and are cooperating with the authorities. The team will have no further comment at this time.”

The intruders “believed they were breaking into Brown’s home while he was away,” according to a WCVB report. It was unclear whether Brown’s mother was home at the time, but WCVB reported that no one was injured, although “some valuables were taken.”
