Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Criticize Report of $600 Million Aspen Wedding: ‘None of It Happened’ | On trend

Billionaire Jeff Bezos has dismissed reports of his wedding to fiancée Lauren Sanchez, which reportedly cost a whopping $600 million. The Amazon boss reached out to X to clarify his wedding plans, saying that “the whole thing is completely wrong.”

Bezos added to a comment from investor Bill Ackman, who said the reports weren’t credible: “If you don’t buy each of your guests a house, you don’t have that much money to spend.”

“Plus, this whole thing is completely wrong – none of it is happening. The old adage “Don’t believe everything you read” is even truer today than ever before. Now lies can circle the WHOLE world before “The truth can cause trouble,” he said in the post, urging users to be careful and not to be gullible.

What did the reports claim?

Reports from the Daily Mail and New York Post said the couple planned to tie the knot in a lavish wedding in Aspen, Colorado, and chose Matsuhisa, a chic sushi restaurant, as the venue for the winter wonderland-themed celebration .

According to reports, the luxury restaurant was reserved exclusively for the wedding from December 26th to 27th and will accommodate around 180 guests. It was said the event would be as extravagant as the couple’s engagement party in Positano, Italy, in 2023, which was attended by high-profile guests including Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio and Queen Rania of Jordan.

According to reports, the multi-day event will take place on Kevin Costner’s 160-acre ranch and the couple arrived in Aspen over the weekend.
