My Jets analysis
We will support the big favorites in this competition by weakening the San Jose Sharks’ offense. Despite some impressive young forwards on this team, it still ranks in the bottom half of the league in goals scored per game, shots on goal per game, power play percentage, and shooting percentage.

This young talent comes with inexperience, which is why the Sharks find it difficult to create dangerous scoring opportunities. They enter this matchup ranked 28th in xGF/60.

That’s a recipe for disaster against Connor Hellebuyck, who is arguably the best goaltender in the world and will take over the net for the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Building on last year’s Vezina campaign, Hellebuyck is 19-5-1 this season with a commanding SV% of .926 and a GAA of 2.11.

He allowed two or fewer goals in four of his last five starts, compiling a 4-0-1 record over that stretch with a .924 SV% and a 1.95 GAA. That success should continue against San Jose, a team against which Hellebuyck has allowed two goals or fewer in five of their last seven meetings.

On the other hand, the Sharks have scored two goals or fewer in four of their last six games.
