Joe Burrow’s home was broken into during Monday night’s Cowboys game: report

While Joe Burrow was helping the Cincinnati Bengals end their losing streak on Monday Night Football, his home was reportedly broken into.

According to WLWT, a Cincinnati-based television station, police were called to Burrow’s home in the area after reports of a break-in.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” a woman who called 911 told the dispatcher, according to WLWT. “My daughter is here. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She lives there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what to do, whether to hide or go outside.”

The report adds that the woman’s daughter also called 911 and said someone had broken in.

This reported break-in comes after the NFL recently sent out a memo following break-ins at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The league warned players to be on high alert following attacks on homes suspected of being linked to international organized crime last month.

NFL ISSUES SECURITY ALERT AFTER BREAK-INS AT MAHOMES, KELCE’S HOMES LINKED TO ‘ORGANIZED’ GROUP: REPORTS

The Associated Press obtained the memo, which warned that professional athletes in various sports were “increasingly targeted by organized and qualified groups.”

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported last month that the FBI was investigating the rampage “which is believed to be linked to a South American crime syndicate.” At least one other NFL player’s home was also broken into, according to the report.

In the memo, the league also urged players to take special precautions, including installing home security systems. They were also asked not to post live updates about their comings and goings and expensive items on social media.

Burrow recently revealed on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” that he purchased a $3 million replica Batmobile. He said he had to wait a year for the vehicle to be delivered to him, but after signing a $275 million contract extension last year, Burrow can certainly afford many other things that could be in his home.

What is unavoidable, however, is the fact that thieves know the exact schedules of professional athletes, as was seen in the Mahomes and Kelce burglaries.

Mahomes’ home in Belton, Missouri, was reportedly broken into just after midnight on October 6th, and Kelce’s mansion in Leawood, Kansas, was attacked on October 7th – the same day the Chiefs played on “Monday Night Football.” the New Orleans Saints were playing. “

“Obviously it’s frustrating and disappointing,” Mahomes said last month when discussing the slump. “I can’t go into too many details as the investigation is still ongoing, but of course it’s something you don’t want to happen to anyone really, but of course to yourself.”
