Johnny Gaudreau remembered with an emotional ceremony in Calgary

The Calgary Flames paid an emotional tribute to former star Johnny Gaudreau with a special ceremony before their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.

Members of Gaudreau’s family were on hand to celebrate the life of the player known simply as “Johnny Hockey.”

Gaudreau, who played eight of his 10 full NHL seasons with the Flames and two with the Blue Jackets, was honored with a video montage before the game. All Flames players wore his No. 13 jersey as they warmed up before the game. And Gaudreau’s father, Guy, along with family members, led a ceremonial puck drop on the ice.
