Jonathan Kuminga drops 34 points to help the Warriors edge out the Suns 109-105 for a much-needed win

After setting a new career high with 34 points in the Golden State Warriors’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, Jonathan Kuminga picked up right where he left off in Saturday’s return game against the Phoenix Suns.

Kuminga dueled with Kevin Durant, scoring 34 points on 12 of 20 off the bench, two made 3-pointers, and nine rebounds and three assists in 34 minutes off the bench. On Saturday, Kuminga scored 30 or more points for the third time this season.

Thanks to Kuminga’s explosive performance, the Warriors were able to hold off Durant and the Suns and earn a much-needed 109-105 win at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Golden State’s win over Phoenix on Saturday marked a three-game losing streak for the Warriors.

Steph Curry returned after a one-game absence and scored 22 points on 9 of 22 shooting from the field, adding four 3-pointers, six rebounds and six assists in 35 minutes.

Former Warrior Kevin Durant led the Suns with 31 points on 10 of 24 shooting, along with six rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes.

Fresh off their win over the Suns and moving to 16-15 on the season, the Warriors will welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers to Chase Center on Monday night.
