Josh Brolin is upset about taking LSD at age 13

Actor Josh Brolin spoke about and joked about repeatedly using LSD at age 13 on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday. (Watch the video below.)

The “Avengers” star told host Kimmel that he began his early experiments with some friends in Santa Barbara.

“Your brain is still developing,” he admitted. “It’s probably not the best time to start the medication, but I really had a great time.”

Brolin, the son of actor James Brolin and the late Jane Cameron Agee, spoke enthusiastically about his first trip: “I saw a chimney that talked to me and said some nice things. I liked what he said. …It was like a caress. It was, you know, wisdom.”

Kimmel asked Brolin, who devotes part of his new memoir “From Under the Truck” to his drug use, if he would stop his 13-year-old self from experimenting with LSD if he could go back in time.

Perhaps Brolin thought Kimmel was looking for some sort of disclaimer or warning for young teenagers, who, as the actor joked, are Kimmel’s largest demographic.

Brolin pointed into the camera and jokingly declared, “Don’t do LSD, kids.” He then added to Kimmel, “It was the greatest thing I’ve ever done!”

When Kimmel previously broached the topic of Brolin’s young experimentation with psychedelics, the actor drew applause from the audience. Kimmel fragte ihn, wie es zu diesem Verhalten kommen konnte.

„Ich weiß nicht, wie das passiert, Mann“, antwortete Brolin. “Where are the parents? Did they give it to me? Did they misplace a sugar cube?”

Er schien einen Scherz zu machen. We think.

Fast forward to 2:40 for Brolin’s trip down memory lane:
