Karnataka minister suggests building knowledge city as tribute to SM Krishna in Bengaluru | Bengaluru

Karnataka Agriculture Minister N. Chaluvaraya Swamy on Tuesday said that he will write a letter to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka to establish a knowledge city in the name of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna to honor the great leader to appreciate.

Talking to the media, Swamy said, “I will write a letter to the CM and Deputy CM of Karnataka to establish a knowledge city in the name of former CM SM Krishna to pay tribute to him. He was a great leader and brought in the IT developments.”Bengaluru…”

The minister also took to social media X and condemned the loss of the former CM and said that the death was an irreparable loss to the politics of the state and the country.

“I am deeply saddened by the demise of the former prime minister, steadfast leader of our country, former foreign minister, efficient administrator, thinker and pioneer of development.”

This is an irreparable loss for the politics of the state and the country. SM Krishna’s contribution to the development of the state is immense. “He was a steadfast leader who courageously took on many challenges and charted a new direction for the development of Karnataka,” the post said.

He further wrote that Krishna was a rare exemplary leader, a rare gentleman, a politician and an orator.

“SM Krishna, a rare exemplary leader of our Mandya, was a rare gentleman politician and orator. His visionary contribution to the development of Bangalore’s IT and BT industry, upliftment and creation of employment opportunities is unforgettable. I pray to the Lord that the entire state is drowned in the sea of ​​sorrow and may he give the strength to give grief to everyone and may his soul rest in peace,” the post continued.

The former Prime Minister died on Tuesday morning at the age of 92. He suffered from a prolonged illness and was hospitalized in early August.

Krishna, 92, was chief minister of Karnataka from October 11, 1999 to May 28, 2004 and also served as foreign minister during the Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance government from 2009 to 2012 and as governor of Maharashtra.

In March 2017, he joined the BJP, ending his nearly 50-year association with the Congress. He retired from active politics last year.
