Kate Winslet is finally letting the media troll her over her weight.

During an exclusive interview on the show 60 minutes, the actress who became famous for her starring role in James Cameron’s film Titanicdetailed the impact of tabloids making disrespectful comments about her weight.

She told the outlet: “It’s absolutely horrific. What kind of person do you have to be to do this to a young actress who is just trying to figure it out?”

In response to her claim, the host asked the actress if she had ever responded to derogatory comments.

Kate further explained: “I did. I left it up to them. I said, “I hope this haunts you.”

“It was a great moment. It was a great moment because it wasn’t just for me, but for all the people who were subjected to this harassment. It was terrible. It was really bad.”

The Oscar winner stressed that she was advised to hide her “tummy rolls” while filming “Lee.”

The 49-year-old actress previously opened up Harper’s Bazaar about her harrowing experience.

She said at the time: “At one point Lee is sitting on a bench in a bikini. One of the crew members came up to us between takes and said, “You might want to sit up straighter.” So you can’t see my stomach rolling? Not on your life! It was intentional, you know?”
