Lane Kiffin was brutally trashed on social media

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has turned into a punching bag on social media.

Kiffin spent Friday night into Saturday afternoon taking completely unnecessary shots at the College Football Playoff and the committee that selected the 12 teams.

His beef?

The games weren’t particularly close… but his attitude actually seemed to change on Saturday night.

Lane Kiffin is getting a big dose of karma on social media.

Well, things took a turn after Ohio State beat Tennessee 42-17 in arguably the most one-sided game of the playoffs.

Before the Buckeyes’ loss, Kiffin took to social media to express his support for the Vols.

Then his radio went silent as the third-best team in the SEC suffered a curb stomp. Maybe we’ve spent so much time talking about whether a fourth SEC should be included that no one has bothered to ask whether the third-best team deserves entry. That’s the logic many SEC fans were using before Saturday night, and it was time for karma as the explosion began.

Check out some of the reactions below and let me know what you think [email protected].

There are few things funnier on the internet than someone talking tough and then completely disappearing when things stop going their way.

Kiffin had no problem going viral during the Notre Dame/Indiana and SMU/Penn State games. Then he apparently had nothing to say when an SEC team competed in a boat race.

Maybe his phone broke and he couldn’t find a charger. There may have been a massive internet outage in Mississippi. We may never know, but we do know that the internet has brought its receipts.

What do you think of Kiffin and the backlash? Let me know at [email protected].
