Las Vegas Bowl Tips, Best Bets

If you’re looking for a late night Friday gridiron competition, look no further.

The Texas A&M Aggies enter Friday night’s Las Vegas Bowl against the USC Trojans as -190 favorites at BetMGM at the moneyline and four-point favorites against the spread.

According to our college football bowl game opt-out and line movement tracker, the Aggies entered the game as 1-point favorites and have since climbed three points.

Both teams, like everyone in college football, are dealing with the transfer portal.

USC will be without several playmakers at wide receiver, including starter Kyron Hudson, who transferred to Penn State, as well as Duce Robinson and Zachariah Branch.

Texas A&M is also missing starting wide receiver Cyrus Allen, among others.

Texas A&M vs USC Prediction

(10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)

USC has virtually collapsed this fall, so anyone considering a bet on USC will not only have to contend with opt-outs through the transfer portal, but will also have to contend with a nightmare season under head coach Lincoln Riley.

Overall, Riley did a disappointing job as the Trojans’ coach.

USC also suffered a major recruiting loss recently.

Julian Lewis, a five-star high school football recruit, left USC and instead transferred to Deion Sanders and Colorado the next season.

Betting on college football?

One possible difference in this game is on the defensive side.

Texas A&M’s defense should be much better at this point, as it has been more effective than USC’s unit all season.

The Aggies allowed 5.4 yards per play in 2024 while the Trojans allowed 5.7 yards.

The Trojans typically have a good offense (6.3 yards per play, 19th nationally), but they lost so much in the transfer portal in terms of playmakers that it’s difficult to predict them in this game.

They get the worst odds, but we’re betting on the Aggies to play Gig Em late Friday night.

PICK: Texas A&M -4 (-110, BetMGM)
