Laura Ingraham calls on Taylor Swift to perform at Trump's inauguration

WASHINGTON – Fox News host Laura Ingraham urged international pop star Taylor Swift to consider performing at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration in January to bring the country back together after the divisive 2024 election campaign.

Swift and Trump represented political opposites over the last year: His campaign used fake AI images of her on social media and the singer urged her legions of supporters to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. “I hate her,” Trump responded on Truth Social after the singer endorsed his Democratic rival.

Appearing on “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday, the Fox host said Swift should call Trump and offer to perform at his swearing-in ceremony, saying it was a “great moment of unity” for the country.

“Come on, Taylor. Are you ready for this?” Ingraham asked, referring to the title of Swift’s song: “…Ready For It?”

“Everything is possible. “It’s almost Christmas,” Ingraham added. “We have experienced many miracles this year.”

Swift, who recently wrapped up her Eras Tour and turned 35 on Friday, endorsed President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential campaign.

The full program for Trump’s inauguration in 2024 is not yet public. At the first Republican inauguration in January 2017, performances included Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood and Jackie Evancho, who sang the national anthem. The Trump transition team and Swift’s spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment on Ingraham’s proposal.
