What you need to know

  • Google’s upcoming mid-range Pixel 9a appears again with real images.
  • The device appears to sport a new design as seen in previous leaked renders.
  • In contrast to the previous models, the Pixel 9a has a dual camera that is almost completely recessed on the back.

Google Pixel leaks long before release have become commonplace in recent years. After we’ve already seen possible renders of the Pixel 9a, we can now take a closer look at the prototype – thanks to a new leak.

The working prototype of the Pixel 9a has been spotted in the wild (via OnLeaks), revealing the familiar design we saw in previously leaked renders of Google’s upcoming mid-range phone. It features a taller screen with a punch-hole cutout paired with flat sides and a new, flatter camera body – an unexpected departure from the iconic bar camera module design that has been the norm since the Pixel 6 series and which has even seen a redesign with the latest Pixels 9 models.
