A clip of LeBron James and Anthony Edwards went viral, revealing the duo’s apparently heated verbal exchange during the Lakers warming up. But the viral moment wasn’t what it seemed as it was a simple playful moment between the two stars or more of a treat for fans to reflect on their staged “fight” before the Timberwolves vs. Lakers game .

LeBron James and Anthony Edwards recently added some fun to the Lakers’ warm-up, sparking laughter from NBA fans. The playful exchange, which went viral on social media, showed the two stars in a staged “fight” before the game. James is known for his subtle jokes on and off the field. He took part in the mock battle with Edwards, who also eagerly participated. Despite their on-court rivalry, the veteran duo’s camaraderie and sense of humor were an asset.

Although the audio of the clip wasn’t audible, it was crystal clear that the Rivals stars were having fun as they appeared to acknowledge each other. Photos shared on social media after the incident showed Edwards having fun and bursting out laughing.
Later in the game, the Timberwolves dominated the Lakers and took a 109-80 win. Julius Randle scored 18 points and Rudy Gobert added 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Timberwolves triumphed over the Lakers.
Naz Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker each contributed 15 points for Minnesota, giving the Lakers their lowest point total since 2017. Edwards, the Timberwolves’ star, struggled, scoring just eight points. Lakers legend James scored just 10 points on 4-for-16 shooting after missing 19 consecutive 3-pointers, and Anthony Davis added 12 points and 11 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers with 20 points after returning from illness.

While both James and Edwards struggled to perform at their best, the Lakers suffered a humiliating defeat. The Timberwolves now have 10 wins and 10 losses, while the Lakers have 12 wins and 9 losses.
The Lakers face the Miami Heat on Wednesday, while the Timberwolves face the Los Angeles Clippers.
