Lightning 5-1 Kraken (December 14, 2024) Game Recap

SEATTLE – Brandon Hagel scored two goals, Jake Guentzel had a goal and an assist and the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Seattle Kraken 5-1 on Saturday night.

Brayden Point had a goal and an assist and Declan Carlie scored his first NHL goal for the Lightning, who finished 3-1-0 after four games. Jonas Johansson finished the game with 21 saves.

Brandon Montour scored a goal for Seattle and Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves.

Montour opened the scoring with a slap shot on the power play 4:24 into the first period.

Hagel tied the game with a tip to Grubauer at 8:16, and Point gave the Lightning the lead for good with 6:39 left in the first.

Guentzel extended his scoring streak to six straight games, scoring a power play goal 4:03 into the third. Point had an assist for his 15th point in his last five games.

Hagel had an empty-net goal at 3:52 and Carlile scored the equalizer in the final minute.
