The spy thriller series is currently in its second season and follows a CIA officer who runs a secret program to place female agents behind enemy lines.

In the second season, as the CIA’s fight against terror draws ever closer, Joe (Zoe Saldana), Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Byron (Michael Kelly) recruit a new Lioness agent to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. As pressure mounts from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as leader of the Lioness program.

With season two nearing its end, fans are naturally curious about a possible third season.

There was no official extension for lioness for Season 3, but a cast member’s recent interview is drawing attention as a possible sign.

Zoe Saldana talked about the future of the Taylor Sheridan-created series.

In a recent interview with Vanity FairShe revealed that she is under contract for “at least” three seasons.

“I signed up for at least three seasons, so you have to fulfill some kind of contractual obligation, but lioness it’s not just that. lioness was a journey that gave me the opportunity to work with a different kind of filmmaker. Taylor Sheridan is a bit like that cowboy who lives on his own off the grid, and that makes many of us curious. You either understand the rhythm of his writing and the topics he always wants to talk about, or you don’t,” she said.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the series will get a renewal order, but it does suggest that the creator has a longer future planned for the series – possibly even a fourth season and beyond.

There was only about a year between the end lioness Season 1 and the premiere of Season 2. If the show is renewed and follows the same pattern, we could see lioness Season 3 will be released around fall 2025. Stay tuned!
