Local closures and delays

The wintry weather is impacting a handful of local businesses, schools and events scheduled for Saturday, December 14th. All classes and events at Metropolitan Community College, including online courses, are canceled.Mt. Crescent is closed due to a power outage in the area. Opening day is Sunday, December 15th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Willow Park Veterinary Clinic is closed. Today’s Omaha Sports Commission Santa Run presented by the Blackstone District is canceled and will not be rescheduled. The RiverFront Holiday Market start time will be moved to 1:00 p.m. to allow vendors additional setup time. The Kiewit Luminarium opens at 11:00 a.m. The Henry Doorly Zoo opens late at 12:00 p.m. The Douglas County Health Department STI Clinic is open today from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. If conditions become dangerous, the clinic will close.
