Louisville beats Stanford and faces Pitt in the Final Four

Louisville Volleyball is headed to its third Final Four in four years and the top-seeded Cardinals return to the KFC Yum! Center.

In their third game this season against Stanford, Louisville (29-5) defeated the second-seeded Cardinal 22-25, 25-14, 28-26, 25-20.

Louisville will face top-seeded Pitt, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, in the national semifinals on Thursday in the Final Four.

This is the third straight year the Cardinals and Panthers will face each other in the NCAA Tournament.

The Cardinal (28-5) took an early lead of 10-3 in the first set.

The closest score for Louisville in the set was 24-22 before Sami Francis scored the final kill for Stanford.
