  • Louisville is in the hunt for history as it seeks its first-ever NCAA title. A win would be monumental for head coach Dani Busboom Kelly, who would become the first woman to win an NCAA Division I volleyball championship as a head coach and the first Louisville coach to win the title.
  • In 2022, the Cardinals reached their first NCAA Championship game after defeating ACC rival Pitt in the semifinals, but fell to top-seeded Texas. Fast forward to 2024, when Louisville defeated Pitt again in the semifinals

  • Schumacher-Cawley has already made history, becoming the first Penn State coach to lead the team to the championship game since 2017. A win would make her the first woman to win an NCAA Division I volleyball championship as a head coach, along with an eighth title in the program’s illustrious history.
  • The Nittany Lions reached the final by avenging their semifinal loss to Nebraska in 2017 with a thrilling five-set victory in 2024, capped by a 15-13 triumph in the final set. This is Penn State’s 11th appearance in the NCAA Finals
