Macron condemns “horror” at German Christmas market

French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “deeply shocked” by the suspected car attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg on Friday that left two people dead and scores injured.

“I am deeply shocked by the horror that struck the Magdeburg Christmas market in Germany this evening,” he wrote on X.

“My thoughts are with the victims, the injured and their relatives and families. “France shares the pain of the German people and expresses its full solidarity.”
