Malcolm In The Middle Makes Comeback With Muniz, Cranston And Kaczmarek Reuniting For Four Episodes | Ents & Arts News

The influential comedy series “Malcolm in the Middle” is celebrating a comeback with four new episodes – 25 years after the start of the acclaimed series.

Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek will reunite for a new iteration of the series, which ran for seven seasons through 2006 and won seven Emmy Awards, including one for Best Writing for a Comedy Series.

The series shows everyday life events through the eyes of the extraordinary young Malcolm, played by Muniz, who has a genius IQ.

Original series creator Linwood Boomer will also return for the new episodes on Disney+. A release date for them is yet to be announced.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment for 18 years. Let’s find out where Malcolm and his family are now,” Muniz said in a video message accompanying the announcement.

The same announcement revealed a reason for Malcolm and his parents’ reunion – namely, that Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into the family’s chaos when Hal (played by Cranston) and Lois (played by Kaczmarek) notice his presence at their 40th anniversary party . Demand wedding anniversary.

The series, which originally aired on Fox, is now available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.

“With Linwood Boomer and the creative team at the helm, these new episodes will deliver all the laughs, pranks and mayhem fans love – along with a few surprises that remind us why this show is so timeless,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, in a statement.
