Matthew McConaughey celebrates one of his boys!

On Saturday, December 28, the 55-year-old actor’s youngest child turned 12 — or, as the father of three put it, “a dozen.”

Matthew celebrated the milestone with a short but sweet tribute on Instagram. The Oscar winner shared two photos of the father-son duo watching a football game at Matthew’s alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin.

In the first photo, the two cheered on the Texas Longhorns together with their arms wrapped around each other as they watched the home game from an end zone at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium.

In the second photo, Matthew appeared to be telling his son something as they watched from the sidelines.

In the caption of his post, Matthew wrote a message to his youngest son and “teammate,” teasing many more special father-son memories.

“With a dozen, my son and teammate,” he wrote. “Here’s to many more victories in life.” With love, Dad.”

In an Instagram Stories post, Matthew added: “Happy birthday Livingston.”

Livingston is one of three children Matthew shares with his wife Camila Alves McConaughey. The couple has another son, 16-year-old Levi, and a daughter, 14-year-old Vida.

Livingston, the youngest of the trio, is – or at least was for much of his early life – the “troublemaker” of the family, as mother Camila, 41, previously revealed.

In the E! On News’ YouTube series Mom2Mom, Camila opened up about the ups and downs of parenthood – and admitted the now 12-year-old was a bit of a “nightmare” after Levi and Vida.

“It was different for all my children. My two oldest were so good. And my third came and he was a nightmare from day one,” the mother of three said in the 2018 video. “He was really attached to me. He just had fits and cried. He didn’t get out of that stage until he was about 4 years old.”

“I thought, ‘That was so hard. (Livingston) is such a troublemaker,” she added, noting that he is now “in a good phase” and has “left the dark side behind him.”

Matthew shared a little about what Livingston is like. Aside from his sporting interests and troubled early days, the youngest child also has a creative side, as the proud father previously revealed.

During a conversation with PEOPLE in October 2020, the actor revealed that all of his children have become “pretty good storytellers” and Livingston enjoys writing stories.

“Our youngest will tell us, ‘Oh, I’m on the second chapter,'” he said.
