McDonald’s fans say ‘Oh no’ to UK upheaval and warn: ‘There is no escape’

McDonald’s customers can’t wait to get their hands on a new menu item that’s just like an old favorite. The fast food chain is hoping to ease the January blues in 2025 by introducing three new items to its UK menus.

Starting Wednesday, January 8th, Maccies fans can get their hands on the new Chicken Katsu One Wrap, new BBQ Ranch Stack and new Milky Way McFlurry, as well as returning Mozzarella Dippers, among other items.

On social media, one Golden Arches fan admitted they were hugely excited, saying: “Katsu curry wrap yes yes yes.” And a second posted: “Oh no! You have the katsu wrapping in front of you! There’s no escape.” Another McDonald’s fan wrote: “Oooo I like katsu curry.”

McDonald’s updates its menu regularly, usually every six weeks. The new items and prices for the menu change from January 6th are: new Crispy or Grilled Katsu Wrap – £3.49 single, £5.29 with a meal and £1.99 on Wednesday, new Milkyway McFlurry – £2, £19, New BBQ Ranch Stack Burger – £5.19 single, £6.99 with a meal, McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse – £5.79 single, £7.49 with a meal and mozzarella ladle – £2.39.

The calories for the items are not yet known. Back on the McDonald’s menu is the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, a 100% crispy chicken breast fillet coated in a smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion and lettuce on a sourdough-style sesame seed bun.

The popular cheesy dippers return. These are mozzarella cheese sticks coated with breadcrumbs and served with salsa dip. They are available in either a three-piece or nine-piece portion box. These will also remain in place for a while, until March 25, 2025.
