Micah Parsons favors the possibility of Mike McCarthy returning to the Cowboys in 2025

After three straight 12-5 seasons, Dallas Cowboys fans had their fingers crossed for a breakthrough in 2024.

Instead, they experienced regression – on a large scale. The Cowboys have a 5-7 record, are plagued by injuries and rank 20th or worse in offense, total offense, defense and total defense.

Of course, coach Mike McCarthy took a lot of blame in his fifth year. However, linebacker Micah Parsons believes the coach should try again to fix the situation.

“I would like a fair chance with everyone back – players, coaches,” Parsons said, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “The injuries were terrible. And you know, it really sucks.”

Parsons, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, offensive guard Zack Martin and quarterback Dak Prescott have all missed time this season.

“As far as coaching goes, the relationship between Coach Mike, me and him has always been really good,” Parsons said. “I just don’t know how the business side is going to turn out, you know? (Owner and general manager Jerry Jones) has his own approach to who he wants to train. This is his team. I’m nice.” no more than a pawn in this business.

Dallas is scheduled to play the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night – before then Parsons’ interview with ESPN is scheduled to air.
