Mild Sunday before rain sets in on Monday

It will be warmer before the rain starts

BEAUTIFUL AND BRIGHT. LOTS OF SUNSHINE, BUT IT WAS STILL COOL. BUT A GORGEOUS DAY ALSO FOR THE POINSETTIA. POINSETTIA CHRISTMAS PARADE. Even though it’s been cool and great conditions, we love being out there and seeing you all. BUT TODAY THERE IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PICTURE. During the day there is a risk of mostly dry conditions and it will warm up quite a bit, but to the west the clouds will start to move in. THIS IS ALSO LINKED TO OUR NEXT WEATHER MAKER. This will increase our chance of rain over the next few days. AFTERNOON highs today rising into the lows into the mid 60s due to southwesterly winds. This brings this warmth to our entire region. Pretty much a warm up and really not typical for this time in December. So enjoy it while we have it now as we plan things for today. START WITH MORE SUNSHINE. BUT AS THE DAY CONTINUES WE WILL START TO INCREASE THE CLOUD COVERAGE. As soon as we’re late tonight. Then the rain starts knocking on our door. We’re talking about 10, 11, 12 or so widespread winter rains continue, so maybe some of that will wake you up. It might be temporarily difficult at times. HOWEVER, WE NEED THE RAIN, SO A GOOD SAFETY RAIN WILL BE GOOD FOR US. BUT WE NEED TO KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THE POTENTIAL OF SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING, especially until all of this rain we expect over the next few days ends. BUT IF YOU GET UP EARLY MONDAY MORNING, SO WE’RE FROM FOUR TO FIVE, EVEN 6:00, THERE WILL STILL HAVE INTERCEPTUAL SEASONS OF RAIN DURING THAT PERIOD, BY LATE MORNING THE BIG TIME, Scattered showers will be expected. So if you’re heading to work on Monday morning, you might want to allow yourself a few extra minutes as you may need to dodge some of that precipitation as it could potentially have a negative impact on your commute. Otherwise, we’re actually seeing a slight weakening in activity and drier conditions in the afternoon, so it’s not completely washed out all day Monday. We’re talking mostly Monday morning, Sunday evening into Monday morning and then another round UNTIL TUESDAY THE RAIN WILL COME BACK. We could see a few showers during the first part of the day, but it really looks like the bulk of the rain will last from Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. With this particular round, we now need to pay attention to the possibility of a few embedded thunderstorms occurring. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT ANY OF THESE STORMS THAT MAY Develop could become strong to severe. IT’S LOW BUT WE NEED TO WATCH IT CLOSELY. IT WILL ALSO BRING WIDESPREAD RAINFALL ACROSS THE REGION FROM TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. So you may still wake up with a few showers. THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY WEDNESDAY. AND ALSO AS THE COLDER AIR EFFECTS THERE, WE COULD ALSO SEE A FEW PLACES ACROSS THE HIGHEST Elevations OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA TOWARD THE TENNESSEE LINE. Otherwise it will become increasingly drier as the day progresses, which will also be accompanied by a significant cooling off period. So the fourth day looks like this. Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout your Sunday, with highs in the lower 60s. A nice end to the weekend with rain starting late this evening and into the first part of the day. Monday impact days are given for Monday to Tuesday as we will see favorable rainfall, but it will also impact any plans you may have during this period. There could be scattered showers and even a few embedded thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. STARTING WEDNESDAY MORNING THE TIMES WILL BE COMPLETED AND THEN DRIER WEATHER WILL OCCUR WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, WITH THE POTENTIAL OF SOME STORMS IN THE HIGHEST Elevations ON WEDNESDAY AND THEN ON MON
