Model Olivia Ponton reported the break-in at Joe Burrow's home. What we know

Joe Burrow’s Anderson Township home was broken into while the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was in Dallas for Monday Night Football, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to the incident report, Olivia Ponton, IMG model and influencer, discovered the break-in when she arrived at the apartment.

According to the sheriff’s report, Ponton is employed by Burrow.

“Someone broke into my house,” Ponton said in a 911 call.

The break-in occurred between 2:30 p.m. and just after 8 p.m., the report said. It goes on to say that whoever broke into the house entered through a rear first floor window and avoided leaving fingerprints.

Ponton told police she found the bedroom window broken and searched the room, the incident report states.

Police arrived at the scene and cleared the house. Detectives also responded to the scene to take photos and collect evidence.

According to the 911 calls, police were on site for security reasons before the break-in was reported.

Ponton called her mother, Diane Ponton, after discovering the break-in, and her mother also called the police.

“Diane Ponton, it’s my daughter Olivia,” she said in the 911 call. Diane Ponton told the dispatcher that her 22-year-old daughter was staying at Burrow’s home.

Dispatchers also received a third call from a woman named “Katie.” She had called the New York Police Department, who put her in touch with Hamilton County police. She reported the incident and confirmed to the dispatcher that police had arrived at the scene.

According to that call, Ponton was home alone at Burrow’s home.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office cannot yet confirm whether anything was stolen from Burrow’s home.

Because Burrow was in Dallas, he could not provide information about the items taken, the incident report states.

It adds that Ponton gave a non-detailed list of items that may be missing.

The NFL sent out a memo about criminals targeting a professional athlete’s home

The break-in came shortly after the NFL sent a memo to all 32 NFL teams in November about organized criminals increasingly targeting the homes of professional athletes.

“Law enforcement authorities have determined that these groups appear to be exploiting team schedules to attack athletes’ homes on game days,” the memo said.

It goes on to say that groups appear to be gathering information through public records, media reports and social media. Some conduct “extensive surveillance of targets, their residences, neighborhoods and security measures.”

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office could not confirm at this time whether multiple people had broken into Burrow’s home.
