Mount Against FOX’s claim to Tom Brady and Erin Andrews’ “Best Crew” as Greg Olsen remains missing

Mount Against FOX’s claim to Tom Brady and Erin Andrews’ “Best Crew” as Greg Olsen remains missing

“It doesn’t matter that we’re the ‘B’ crew” Greg Olsen had spoken about what can only be described as in September of this year snub by others, but not by Olsen himself. Olsen joined FOX in 2021 and was promoted to the No. 1 team ahead of the 2022 season. Olsen’s professional career took a turn “blow” (Courtesy of Tom Brady) when he was moved to the network’s No. 2 team alongside Joe Davis and Pam Oliver. And let us tell you, the fans were not happy, which was evident once again when the former New England Patriots player was named the best player.

The incident occurred on December 21st, when NFL on FOXA video was uploaded to the official Instagram profile of Brady and Erin Andrews talking to each other on the sidelines before the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers game. While the headline read: “Drop those earnings predictions ⬇️,” The video contained the words: “The best team in the game is preparing for Steelers-Ravens.” complete with a soccer ball and fire emoji. And as expected, droves of fans questioned the duo’s legitimacy as part of the festival “Best Crew”. But before we get to the heart of the story…

The news that Brady replaced Greg was as scandalous as it gets. Finally, since joining FOX, Olsen has been recognized with a Sports Emmy as Top Event Analyst winner in 2023 and also Outstanding Emerging On-Air Talent in 2022. Brady, on the other hand, is one of the most popular NFL players in history (with a 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX), and it would only make sense for him to move to the top team.

However, things started to go downhill when Brady’s seemingly lackluster skills came to the fore. On one particular occasion, fans and industry insiders didn’t mince words to criticize him – more specifically, his voice.

ESPN senior writer Don Van Natta Jr. said: “Tom Brady’s problem and ours is his voice. No matter how much his commentary improves, Brady’s delivery varies between slightly annoying and brand new on the board. It doesn’t help that he’s with Kevin Burkhardt, whose masterful voice is made for a microphone.”

Skip Bayless, on the other hand, wasn’t so kind with his words: “Tom Brady was by far the greatest NFL player of all time. But as a TV analyst he is none other than Daniel Jones. I’m sorry, but Tom Brady drove me crazy during the Detroit-Green Bay game yesterday with his endless, dizzying, captain-speaking chatter… He talks and talks and talks some more about what is so cliche obvious. So annoyingly obvious, so obvious that Patriots Brady is talking to the media. Tom is so anxious to be a nice guy, obviously. So little insight, so many words. So many close-ups. “Hello, I’m Tom Brady.” Yes, we know, unfortunately we know, Tom.”

Then, during the Rams-Bills game in Week 14, fans claimed they would rather watch the game on mute than listen to it. Although fans love the legend for his technical breakthrough in the sport, they missed Greg Olsen.

However, the missing broadcaster never had the slightest doubt about his successor. “I want him to be well. I want him to succeed. I want him to feel like I’m a good teammate. It’s no different than when he came into the locker room as a player and we happened to play the same position. My success doesn’t depend on Tom. Tom being really good doesn’t make me any less good, and Tom being bad doesn’t make me any better. Fox has two top teams, and that’s how I see it. But I talked to Joe about this: I want people to think that Joe and I are the best team on television. It doesn’t matter that we’re the “B” crew.”

Now if only fans would give Brady the same benefit of the doubt…

Fans are trolling FOX’s new team

One angry fan didn’t mince his words and commented: “No, that would be Greg Olson.“Another fan quantified how many times Greg Olsen was better than Tom Brady and mentioned: “Greg Olsen is 10000000000x better than Brady.“Many others reacted similarly.

One fan even criticized the channel for featuring Erin Andrews in the best crew as well and brought up a controversial past of the channel, saying, “Erin Andrews 🧏🏼‍♀️: “Hello. I am white. I lied about doing interviews at work and they couldn’t care less!” #FauxKnews #FauxSports #$787MVerdict.“For those of you who don’t know, he referenced the $787 million the network paid to settle its defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems Inc.

Another fan mentioned the way to create the best crew, namely removing Tom Brady, and wrote: “Be the best team when Brady leaves and Greg Olson returns.“However, one person used a touch of sarcasm to troll the network while commenting: “Is Greg Olsen in the room with us right now?

A similar opinion was expressed by another fan who replied: “Minus Brady would be, bring back Greg Olsen, he’s so much better than that prima donna Brady.“So it’s clear. Most fans want Olsen back. It would be a formidable combination if the network could find a way to get Olsen and Brady to sit together. That would be huge. Do you think FOX would consider it?
