The star-studded voice cast of Mufasa: The Lion King was a major draw for audiences, with Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Babu bringing their unique star power to the project. The Hindi version also has a talented cast including Meiyang Chang as Taka and popular comic duo Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra as the voice actors of Timon and Pumbaa respectively. Shalini Langar of the Indian Express gave the film a rating of three and a half stars and wrote: “Thirty years after the Disney animated film hit the screens, and five years after it got a photorealistic remake – plus other smaller and… principal photography of ‘The “The Lion King” – the circle of life takes on a new twist.”
