Mysterious Drones Spotted Over New Jersey Coast

These mysterious drones have now been spotted in numerous towns in Monmouth and Ocean counties, police have confirmed.

In a statement Friday evening, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said there were “multiple reports of drone sightings in communities throughout Monmouth County late this week.”

Santiago made the statement alongside Spring Lake Heights Police Chief Edward Gunnell in his capacity as president of the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association.

“It is currently not known that the drones pose a specific threat to public safety,” the statement said. “The above sightings occurred along the Bayshore region, the Atlantic Coast and inland Monmouth County.”
