According to The Daily Mail, a viral video has been released showing the now 47-year-old politician playing a crazy drinking game during a social gathering. In the footage, Mace can be seen shooting a shot of alcohol down his throat and then handing it to a woman wearing a Trump T-shirt. More and more join in until finally one of the males vomits on the ground. During the 2016 presidential campaign, a video shot so far back suddenly gained popularity following increased sentiment about the rise of the Trump candidacy.

“I made a stupid mistake about 10 years ago that doesn’t fit with your political life,” Ms Mace said.
While confirming the authenticity, the Daily Mail quoted Mace and responded to mounting criticism by adding: “This is why good people don’t run for office.”

The video first gained attention during Mace’s 2017 campaign for the South Carolina State House, where her opponent, Cindy Boatwright, criticized the video and called Mace “immature” and “unfit for office.” Despite the backlash, Mace won a congressional seat in 2020, securing her place on the national stage.

Nancy Mace on transgender rights
