NBA legend Charles Barkley was right about the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA over the last month.

Most recently they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (away) by a score of 144-93.

On November 12, the Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 120-117.

With the win, they improved to 9-2 in their first eleven games of the season.

However, NBA legend Charles Barkley predicted that the Warriors would not be able to maintain this level of play.

Barkley (via NBA on TNT November 12): “I think they are too small. Everyone is fresh and feeling good at the moment… Everyone else is fine and no one has any bumps or bruises and I think their shooting will slow down. They are playing well at the moment. I just don’t think it’s sustainable.

The Warriors have lost just 5-10 in the 15 games since that night (they are 14-12).

Apparently Barkley is spot on with his prediction.

In their most recent loss to Memphis, future Hall of Famers Steph Curry and Draymond Green combined for just two points.

About StatMuse: “Players with a +/- of -40 or worse in a game this season:

— Bilal Coulibaly
–Kelly Oubre

And now Steph and Draymond.

The Warriors’ hot start gave them some cushion, so they are still the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Additionally, they are just 2.5 games behind the Mavs and are the fourth seed.

The Warriors visit Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
