Nebraska volleyball throttles Florida A&M, makes a statement in the opening round

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska volleyball team’s determination to return to the national championship game was evident in a win over Florida A&M in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night.

The Huskers won 25-3, 25-9, 25-17 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center to set up a second-round game against Miami on Saturday night.

Nebraska was dominant from the first serve, outscoring the Rattlers by 0.392% to -0.067%.

Harper Murray led the Huskers with 12 kills on 25 total attacks and hit .440%. Andi Jackson was next with eight kills and a .538 hitting percentage.

The Rattlers never got going and made a total of 20 errors. Nebraska was nearly flawless with just nine total errors.

Bergen Reilly was once again the Huskers’ assists leader with 32 assists and 12 digs, making it her 16th double-double of the season.

Lexi Rodriguez led the team in digs with 15, while Olivia Mauch led the Huskers in aces with four.

The Huskers will face the Miami Hurricanes in the second round of the tournament. First serve for this game is at 7:00 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Center.
